Ein AusLANDER |
British guy who worked in Forensic Psychology for 6 years but needed to experience something else. Took a leap of faith and made a change to pull off an Houdini escape act to Berlin, sidetracked for 8 months in Edinburgh by accident. Walking around Berlin lost and confused for a month. Realised that Clinical Psychology is the right fit for me so trying to get back on track with that. Recently, moved to Munich, Germany for work where luckily my lovely German girlfriend lives. A shared smile ignites a warmth within
When searching for something to believe in
Not wanting the evening to be through
Thinking of something interesting to do
A mountain so cold, wet it is dark
Our hands touch and BANG it starts
Sat down huddled together in the rain
Waiting for our hands to touch again
Endorphines explode in the heart
So ill inspired it skips when they dart
Wanting to stay but not live on the streets
Moving in together, after only two weeks
Just a small double room, everything we need
So many people questionned the speed
Deceptively looking like a modern fairy tale
Completely oblivious that it could fail
The first time it happened took me by surprise
That crazed look deep in her eyes
She hit me with a glass to the face
The girl from earlier gone without a trace
I thought it could get better that it could work
But her jealousy and violence caused more hurt
There’s no reasoning for the things that you do
When reality became a stranger to you
And my better senses told me you were through
That I shouldn’t have anything to do with you
As time went on she got worse and worse
Her madness manifest in my ripped off shirt
Finding it hard to let go of the girl I thought I knew
When you make sincere promises and hope that it’s true
Boiling up inside me knowing that we were wrong
The realisation coming up so strong,
It swung like a hammer to our shared beating heart
Shrieking as I ripped it apart
I left you
