British guy who worked in Forensic Psychology for 6 years but needed to experience something else. Took a leap of faith and made a change to pull off an Houdini escape act to Berlin, sidetracked for 8 months in Edinburgh by accident. Walking around Berlin lost and confused for a month. Realised that Clinical Psychology is the right fit for me so trying to get back on track with that. Recently, moved to Munich, Germany for work where luckily my lovely German girlfriend lives. Notes Ich fliege nach Berlin um FreitagThis Friday I fly to Berlin for a long weekend which could become a lot longer. As anyone who has been reading this blog will remember, Edinburgh was supposed to be for a month, yet ended up lasting eight months.
I will be staying at a hostel on Storkower Strasse for only £7.25 a night. I have stayed there a lot before and it’s . . a good example of a hostel. At this point I should be translating my CV into German. Not necessarily packing but at least considering what I should take and sorting out other various things.
But I am not. I will leave it to the usual last minute panic which has led me to literary sprinting through schoenefeld airport at the other end - on more than one occasion.
I am hoping that in mauerpark the karaoke is on http://www.bearpitkaraoke.com/ . I have not made it there yet but would like to. A big outdoor karaoke in the park on a Sunday with 100’s or 1000’s of people sat around having a great time together. Perhaps drinking a few cans of Becks.
